Morocco is leaving a wide turning point socially, culturally and politically…
We strongly believe that there is no economic growth without a social and cultural development.
Confronting Art and Real Life, the documentary film is a fully-fledged genre.
Documentary films and documentary makers question our world on all kinds of issues.
Those films which are of concern to us offer us a look on today’s world, human beings, cultures and mutations affecting them.
The documentary film plays a crucial and educational role in the evolution of people’s mindset, for it stimulates their mind and perception.
The aim of FIDA DOC’SOUSS is to give the opportunity to North and South professionals to exchange and confront their works.
Our will is to share our passion for documentaries with citizens, films lovers, students and scholars.
Our ambition is to initiate an annual rendezvous enjoying national and international coverage: an event with a growing affluence which we expect will become an absolute must for creators, producers and broadcasters, and a rendezvous for exchanging and confronting their works, we also wish to invite the public to an exercise of entertainment, discussion, thinking and discovery.
Agadir meets perfectly well our goal: it is the capital city of the Souss Region, and a welcoming town known for its incomparable charm, for its mild climate, year-round sun, for the remarkable hospitality of its inhabitants, the beauty of the site and proximity of Ouarzazate which has become a film industry capital. In a few words, it is the cradle of a rich heritage offering an excellent showcase for Morocco which naturally accompanies the growth of the country.
